Friday's faces

Have you taken note of each life you brush up against each day?
My latest project is to try and photograph each person I come in contact with on a given day.
Friday was my first attempt...I didn't get everyone, but it was a start.

Afternoon Swim

Just as the afternoon sun tips downward in its westerly path, the pool is suffused with a warm light that gives the water a jewel-like tone. The surrounding oaks and pines form a bowl that intensifies the droning of the cicadas so that all noise from the street and neighborhood is drowned into inconsequential nothingness. Overhead the kites call and soar, interrupted here and there by fat, iridescent dragonflies and lazily drifting clouds.

Travels

Common Garden Snail, Phylum Mollusca, 8.7.13

An enveloping smile, songs of derision, a sweetness lingering in the air, an empty glance, commendable actions, thoughtless words, an empathetic touch.
